Ataraxia, my oasis for peace of mind, has been my dream since I was a little child. I always wanted to live in one of the most beautiful areas of Poland and share this feeling, this luxury of satisfaction with friends and guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So over the course of thirty years of professional experience that I have spent on the international stage in the high-tech industry as a product manager and marketing director, I have always longed to realize this dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was slow, but with every step I felt the strength, certainty and satisfaction that I was on the right path, the way to make my dream come true. The first thing I bought was land – in the early years we spent the holidays here in a part of the barn that we had prepared for ourselves as a camping camp. Later we built a small house for the family on the meadow, too small to welcome guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017 I finally started planning for my \u201cMini-Mansion in Masuria\u201d, a small guest house that I run on my own. It is located in the middle of this beautiful piece of land, surrounded by lakes, forests and meadows and offers what I always wanted for myself, my friends and guests: peace of mind, an oasis to relax, to switch off, to get away from the hustle and bustle, to recover and to be able to return to daily life with vigor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We chose ATARAXIA as the name – the ataraxie (Greek \u1f00\u03c4\u03b1\u03c1\u03b1\u03be\u03af\u03b1 atarax\u00eda “steadfastness”) denotes the ideal of peace of mind. It stands for the emotional state of serenity towards the outside, which endangers happiness (the wise). Life was not easy in ancient Greece. Suffering and pain, violence, war, excess and inhumanity determined everyday life. In contrast was the Eudaimonie, the pleasant life that people wanted then and now. One can get there, as philosophers described, by approaching ataraxia, an ideal attitude to life that can accept the unpredictability of life and fate calmly. For me that was exactly what I wanted: to offer people an oasis where they could search for and experience this ideal personal state of mind in peace and far away from the chaos and stress of everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We worked on it for over two years. During this time I was also finishing the executive training in hospitality at the \u00c9cole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re de Lausanne. In August 2020, I was finally able to open and invite the first guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am very happy that I was able to fulfill my dream and am I looking forward to supporting all my guests in finding their ideal personal peace of mind as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
